Does Fairbanks really need another McDonalds?

Is it just me or is the new McDonald’s off of the Johansen Expressway completely unnecessary? I Googled it, and it is literally one mile from the Bentley Mall McDonald’s. Did the folks at McDonald’s figure that it was asking too much of us to drive that extra mile to get our McKinley Mac fix? I mean people in Fairbanks will drive 350 miles just to get Arby’s and shop at a decent mall, but they can’t go one mile out of their way for a crappy burger?
