Buns the mystery bunny

So, I drove home from work yesterday and the snowbank started moving as I turned on to my street. I wasn’t hallucinating, it was a big white bunny hopping around sniffing the snow. I was practically home, so I went up to my apartment and told Randy that I was worried about the little guy because he was just sitting around on the side of the road. He just said, “Oh, someone is probably looking for him. That is probably his yard.” Five hours later, Randy came home from work and the poor thing was still sitting there, so he brought him home.

We got him some rabbit food and made him a little bed, so he seems pretty happy, but we are worried because we have no experience with pets other than dogs and fish. We don’t know his name, so we are sticking with Buns for now. We put out an ad in the News-Miner and are waiting to see if someone wants to claim him. Buns is very well behaved, mellow and enjoys flopping on the floor and sleeping. He is gentle and will eat out of your hand or let you pet him, but gets kind of nervous when you pick him up. You have to kind of hold him close like a baby or he gets all shaky and scared.

To be honest, I am kind of worried about how Randy will handle it if Buns’ family comes to claim him. We’ve gotten a bit attached. Lol.
